Physical Therapy & Fitness Consultations

Clients can request individual physical therapy consultations to address problems such as overuse injuries, chronic pain, post-operative restrictions, sports-related injuries, and other painful conditions.

The physical therapy consultation includes an initial evaluation of muscle tone, flexibility, strength, posture, and alignment. Treatments are implemented based upon evaluation findings and may include various flexibility and stability exercises, postural re-training, massage, myofascial release, joint mobilization, and muscle energy techniques.

Fitness consultations begin with a flexibility, strength, and postural evaluation. Based on the findings, an exercise program will be designed based upon your goals and needs.

Yoga

Yoga is an ancient form of healing and health optimization that originated in India. Yoga is a way of life that allows the practitioner to explore and unify his body, mind, and spirit. Yoga is an excellent adjunct to traditional physical therapy and exercise programs. In the physical sense it helps improve flexibility, strength, posture, balance, and respiration. It also benefits the individual on emotional, mental, and spiritual levels.

Individual and group yoga classes are offered and incorporate breathing awareness, yoga postures, and meditation/relaxation. For a schedule of current classes, click here.

Consulting

A wide range of consulting services are also available. Prior projects have included medical/health writing, content creation for new health website, developing exercise videos for online education, consultation to physical therapists on implementing and incorporating yoga with tradtional rehabilitation, and consultations with yoga teachers regarding their students injuries or physical limitations.
